Our Learn To Swim program is open 7 days a week and follows the Victorian State school terms and holidays.
Maccabi Aquatics believes that all swimmers should establish strong and beautiful techniques as they progress through the Learn To Swim program. This allows them to understand and develop the fundamental skills needed to progress into our squad program in the future.
Our program has 7 levels and each is designed to develop the skills needed to make swimmers happy, confident and safe in the water at the same time as building their love of swimming.
Each Learn to Swim lesson costs $24 per week, with lessons paid for on a monthly basis in a termly cycle. Terms are usually between nine and eleven weeks long. The first months fees in the cycle are payable before the start of the new term. Payment can be made via the Parent Portal with a debit or credit card.
*Payments via Visa or Mastercard incur a 1.76% fee.
**For other program prices please refer to relevant the tab in “Other Programs”.
New enrolments are accepted throughout each term, if availability allows. Your term fee will be calculated on a pro rata basis.
Maccabi Aquatics offers a family discount to all its families. A family is defined as siblings or in the case of Masters swimmers a parent/guardian and child.
The relevant discount is applied to the applicable swimmers’ fees not to the family unit.
All our lessons, for all levels of Learn to Swim, are 30 minutes long. Once your child progresses through to our Squad levels, lessons increase to 45 minutes, and 60/90 minutes according to level.
We limit the size of each class to ensure that each child receives an equal amount of attention from the teachers. Our teacher student ratios for each level are as follows:
– Starfish, Seahorse and Penguin – maximum of 1:4
– Turtle – maximum of 1:5
– Seal, Dolphin and Orca – maximum of 1:6
– Squads ratios are based on lane space allocated.
